17% EDTA Gel with Carbamide Peroxide is a specially formulated endodontic lubricant and chelating agent used during root canal procedures. The EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) softens dentin by chelating calcium ions, allowing easier negotiation of canals, while carbamide peroxide releases oxygen to aid in debris removal and enhance antimicrobial action.
The gel consistency ensures controlled placement, improved file lubrication, and reduced risk of instrument separation. It also helps in effective smear layer removal, improving the penetration of irrigants and sealers.
